LONG LIVE SOUTH BANK!

As I mentioned in my last post I love south bank, this is the main reason other than the theatre and views around, this is the best view of them all!

The South Bank Skaters have been around for over 40 years, a community, a family and careers formed from this one area created by skateboarders from all around the world over the years. Past skaters who have gone on to professional skating often visit the home of where it all begun for them, the stories are truly amazing and inspirational for everyone as well as the skaters.

Not everyone comes to south bank skate park to skate, but everyone comes to watch and support the skaters and even photographers and artists from around the world come to see the creativity of this popular community. The creativity of the graffiti, the various skates and bikes are what make this community so great and popular and we just hope the government and public see the beaut of this historical place and help protect it.

The home of these skaters is currently due to close down if £17million  is not produced within 6months, frankly I think its impossible to achieve that amount within such little time so the members of LLSB (Long Live South Bank) are pleading with the public to donate to help save and protect their home.

You can visit their website and watch videos of what some of the community and LLSB members of south bank have said about their beloved area, also you can find out more information about where you can donate to this landmark. http://www.llsb.com/

A day in london!

So I spent the day in London with some friends from church, we had a cute little tour around the popular land marks of this gorgeous city. I felt like a bit of a tourist really throughout the day even though I've been there a lot and also lived there, but I think there is defo something about London that just makes you feel like its your first time even if you've been and live there.

My favourite places to visit are; South Bank, Piccadilly, West end, Camden, Shoreditch, Covent Garden etc... All these are my faves for obvious reasons, I love pretty scenes and these places each have the greatest views and the best fashionista's in the country old and young.

I would defo recommend these areas for fellow fashion lovers, I think those places are keys for inspiration, photography and just a simple day out!

What's in the bag Abi?

Less is more!

The essentials in my bag are not a lot, but hey! less is more right? Hygiene is always key so a bottle of deodorant and sanitizer are the most important items and are a must that I carry them everywhere I go. Lotion is another key thing to carry, even if I don't really need it whoever I'm with will defo ask.
Lipstick, now that's a must or a good tin of Vaseline aha!
Now the last three are essential as a fashion lover, so take notes for the last three (if you don't enjoy drawing number 2 is irrelevant to you lol).

No.1 A purse - I can never go out without ever buying something, I can't remember a time that I went out with my purse and came home empty handed, it seems bad but I just love to shop :)

No.2 The sketchbook - It's always good as an artist to carry a sketchbook or camera, the world is full of wonders and you never know what you come across on your travels haha.

No.3 The read - Weather its a magazine or a novel its always good to have something, other than texts, to keep you entertained on a long journey.

Rihanna River Ireland SS14 launch!

Well London Fashion week is coming up soon guys and of course Rihanna chose a great time to launch River Island SS14 collection on Tuesday (September 10).  Obviously when you're Rihanna you can't never go simple without having something popping! The fashionista arrived at her launch party with blue lipstick, Interesting choice, but it works and it certainly has the media talking. ,
The gorgeous pop star sported a sheer black top under her Varsity jacket with dark jeans, bright blue lipstick, and a mullet.
Before arriving to this spectacular event the 25-year old singer tweeted  "UK Navy, I'm in London today launching the Autumn #RihannaforRiverIsland range."
Also Rihanna is currently working on the promotion of her new fragrance Rogue by Rihanna. She also posted a photograph of her ad and she wrote, "#ROGUE #LONDON #LondonMarbleArch #BajanTing."

Cleanliness is next to Godliness!

"To enjoy good health, to bring true happiness to one's family, to bring peace to all, one must first discipline and control one's own mind. If a man can control his mind he can find the way to Enlightenment, and all wisdom and virtue will naturally come to him." Buddah.

For me to be able to creatively think, first I must clear my mind before moving on to anything because without a clear mind everything is messy and un-organised.
So I've recently been thinking about my future and the present but I have so much going through my mind every idea I have keeps being pushed back, so I've set myself a personal challenge of 'change' in order for me to take control of everything in a way that will benefit me for the better.
There's not much for me to say today, but I will work hard on this new and organised me.
It's rather exciting this little project of mine and I will blog about my journey of change.

Okay so what's with the Buddah quote? well I needed something to inspire me and and inspire my readers too, there really isn't much to it other than that.

Changing It Up

Basically 'Changing It Up' is sort of a personal challenge of well, changing and emphasising my style.
For the past couple of weeks I've been shopping and ordering on line for things which are 'me', I've purchased these fine items and used my old clothes to create the style the is 'me'...So what exactly is my style? well I love the 90s and I'd like to portray my love for the Lovable fashion era through what I wear, just to begin with, but at the moment for me to pull that off I would need money, so while I wait I'm just going to explore different styles!

The picture above is me  exploring that inner 80s style with a whole lot of colour blocking and I guess you are probably thinking wow where did she get her trousers well to be honest i found them by accident I'd tell you where i got them but that would be telling ha ha  the bag is from H&M, heels are from New Look, the top is a simple Primark long sleeve.

Hopefully you can join me in the 'Changing It Up' challenge.
